Lemon Grass Plant
The lemon grass plant is also known as the cymbopogon plant; it is most often found in tropical regions or, at the very least, warm temperate regions. Other names by which one can refer to the lemon grass plant includes silky heads, barbed wire grass, fever grass, citronella grass, or Hierba Luisa. Lemon grass, you would not be surprised to know, is in actually grass, only it grows larger than the common lawn grass that seem to be stuck in public consciousness – it could grow up to two point four meters in height (to those who are confused, that is eight feet), depending on the variant. The lemon grass plant is also understood to be a perennial plant – what this means is that it thrives all year-round. The colors of this specific plant ranges from gold to a beautiful blue-green. It must also be noted that the lemon grass plant is actually a plant that flowers – its flowers can be green, or white, or cream-colored.
When you choose to grow the lemon grass plant, it is suggested that you remember its natural habitat; you need to emulate it as closely as possible. Keep its environment warm, and make sure that the soil on which it is growing is always moistened.
